MULTIPLE AUDIO CHANNEL ALARMS SUPERVISION AND MONITORING SYSTEM

Model: SAA-PC

FEATURES.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW.

The system is composed of one or more measurement mainframes (8 max.), serial connected, with one or more converters and amplifiers boards (8 max., for 4 input signals each one) and a control + power supply board by mainframe.

Each mainframe controls 32 mono audio channels (16 stereo). The whole system supervises up to 256 mono audio channels (128 stereo).

One single mainframe (2U) by system, houses the control panel from which it is possible to display the alarms and access to the system programme planning.

The control panel has a numerical and functions keyboard at the front, a LCD screen and a big LED pilot for general alarm warning.

At the back there is a general alarm output to connect an alarm bell or any other external warning device, a RS232 comunication port, the system serial bus and two XLR audio outputs for stereo monitoring purposes.

The audio alarm trigger level goes from -10 dB to -40 dB in 5 dB steps.

The timed alarm trigger goes from 5 a 255 seconds in 5 seconds steps.

Enable/disable the alarms supervision on any channel.

The storage of selectable parameters is in EEPROM (non volatile memory).

The system has a basic communication protocol and it can be controled too from a PC through a RS232 serial port.

The system can be upgraded (in 4 channels increments) to reach the supervision up to 256 mono audio signals or 128 stereo (8 mainframes x 8 boards x 4 audios).

A board with 33 static relays (one by channel and one for power fail), can be supplied optionally. The relay contacts are NO, without polarity, optically isolated (3.750 V.) and configurated as independent outputs with a common terminal to control remote alarms or supervision panel.

OPERATION.

Once the "alarm condition level" and "timed alarm trigger" parameters are selected, the system starts.

When one or more channels remain under the minimun selected level for the programmed time, the system shows an alarm.

In the control panel the channels in alarm are displayed on screen, the red pilot blinks and the general alarm relay goes on. There is too, an internal buzzer able to get on or off through a push-button.

At the same time it could be selected any channel for monitoring purposes.

An autotest facility that checks and displays the system configuration, helps to solve some possible malfunction.
